I found this amazing vegan oatmeal recipe this morning at Sunflowernatural.com Since I had nearly all the ingredients on hand, I decided to give it a try.
I am so glad that I did so. This was truly yummy.
I regret that I did not take a picture to post here, but it was so good I did not think about the picture until I was almost finished wolfing down my bowl.

The recipe did not state what type of oats to use. I had Organic Old-Fashioned rolled oats and found the cooking times to be perfect for them.
The only real change I made was that I substituted Vanilla Almond Milk for the Vanilla Soy Milk suggested in the recipe. I did this because the Almond Milk was all I had. In retrospect the Vanilla Almond Milk made the recipe a little too sweet for me, probably because the dates already contributed plenty sugar, but I still loved it.
Next time I make it I will probably use unsweetened Almond Milk.
